While most death and status effects are similar to Borderlands 3, we did add some damage types and wanted enemy and NPC transitions to be relevant to the world, so I got the task of creating these transitions, and I was quite happy how they turned out.
The magic transition, used for enemy spawning among other things
The black hole transition effect, used for certain special events or NPCs
The "soul dissolve" effect, used for generic enemy deaths in wonderlands
New Dark Magic Status Effect
